Drawing upon years of experience in the family travel market, Family Travel Forum Consulting (FTFc), a division of Family Travel Forum Inc., offers clients timely advice and compelling marketing strategies. We design creative, quality family travel programs and packages. We help improve existing, family-oriented amenities and facilities or work with you to establish new ones.
FTFc helps clients generate revenue, enhance market share, and increase profitability from the growing family travel market (estimated by TIA to be 72% of all leisure travel by Americans). FTFc enables clients to develop a solid base of satisfied, repeat customers.
The Family Travel Market
Times have changed. Travel has changed. In today's world, time-starved families are expressing a need to travel together. They want to create lasting family memories through meaningful travel experiences.
What is family-friendly? Travel agents, tour operators, destinations, hotels, resorts, transport providers and attractions must recognize that family-friendly travel is not “travel” dressed in “family” clothing. Selling to families and satisfying them requires a special set of skills and a decidedly different mind set.
The target market has changed, too. The post-millennium family has evolved to include single parents, mixed couples, step and blended families, gay families, reunions and many types of multi-generational groupings including grandparents, their children and their children's children and grandchildren.
Our clients clearly see the increased potential for revenue, brand loyalty and repeat traffic from the family travel market. They come to FTFc for our help in understanding and accessing this market in ways that will generate repeat customers – thus driving revenue to the bottom line and satisfying the market’s real need for quality family programs.
We know all about that need and how our clients can meet it because Family Travel Forum Inc. has served a global network of travelers with children since 1996. FTF brings print and online publications, trip-planning consultation, a vast library of destination research, and discounts from preferred vendors to frequent traveling families around the world.
For its understanding of this market, FTF expertise has been recognized with several National Parenting Center Seals of Approval and ‘Best of the Web’ awards from both Forbes and Condé Nast Traveler magazines, as well as by CNN, ABC, The Travel Channel, American Baby, Child, Diversions, Family Life, Kiplinger’s, Ladies Home Journal, Redbook, Frequent Flyer, Time, Travel Weekly, Travel Age, USA Today, Wall St. Journal, Yahoo! Internet Life and other media. In the fall of 2008, Family Travel Forum Inc. was honored by the travel industry with Travel Weekly's Silver Magellan award for Excellence in Online Travel Guides and Resources.
