The hisABelt: The Metal Detector-friendly Belt

Women who got tired of dealing with bulky belts or that evil sag from the back of their jeans rejoiced when the isABelt made its debut.  Women finally had a lightweight, yet sturdy, belt that wouldn't sag or feel bulky around their waist.  After releasing isABelts for children and plus-sized women, there are now isABelts for men, called hisABelts.

The belt is designed to work with waist sizes ranging from 30" to 50," so it is quite versatile. Putting on the hisABelt is just like putting on any regular belt. You place it through the belt loops and buckle it once it wraps around. There are two sliding tabs (on opposite sides of the buckle) that allow the wearer to adjust the hisABelt for the best fit. Instead of the traditional belt buckle found on leather belts, this buckle is just two plastic pieces that snap together. The packaging for the hisABelt recommends using the button on your pants as a way to keep the belt stable and steady.

The belt is quite sturdy and functional.  Those who wear the hisABelt for a long period of time might even forget they are wearing a hisABelt because it is so light.

On the negative side, the sliding tabs to adjust the size are an acute hassle at first.  It takes more time and effort to adjust the hisABelt fit than with regular belts, which only require the wearer to put the buckle through a different notch. But once the wearer finds a perfect fit for his hisABelt, he won't have to worry about the tabs for a while.

The biggest plus is that it is a great belt for travel.  The belt won't set off metal detectors so the wearer won't have to take it off during the security check-in.  For those looking for a way to get through check-in at the airport much faster, consider giving the hisABelt a try.
