National Geographic Adventure Travel Maps
Tired of wrinkly frayed maps where the top attractions and essential highways have been torn off from overuse?
National Geographic has introduced a practical series of maps to the market and made them in fold-up, carry-with-you sizes as well as big, wall-size maps that will get your family into the travel mood.
We reviewed the Adventure Travel Maps series designed for active families. The convenient pocket-sized maps offer a wealth of useful information for travelers. They give detailed and descriptive information as well as lovely images on important sites. The maps are updated and revised regularly, so all of the photos, historical and geographic information are current.
Smartly designed, they are waterproof, tear-resistant, and printed on a soft plastic that folds quickly and easily. They are ideal to take with you on your next journey because no matter how grimy the kids' fingers, or how much sand and salt water gets splashed over them, they can be washed off and still used.
Their durability is noteworthy and makes them well worth the cost, so rest assured that you are not getting a flimsy paper map. There's enormous variety too; more than 400 destinations range from Panama to Yosemite, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and several other major parks, to Michigan's Isle Royale and many other exciting family getaways.
Considering the quality, the price (about $12 per map) is reasonable.
