LeapFrog Tag Junior Book Pal Reading System

LeapFrog is a company that knows how to harness the power of computers with the fun of toys to enhance early reading skills.

In 2008 LeapFrog introduced the Tag Reading System, a revolutionary way to teach children 4- to 8-years-old to learn how to read. LeapFrog’s newest product, the Tag Junior, meant for 2-4 year olds, is the younger counterpart to the original Tag Reader.

This miniature snow-man-looking device is easy for youngsters to navigate across pages as it “reads” words and chunks of text aloud from Tag-friendly books.

The Tag Junior is meant to help develop appreciation for books, as each book has two dozen learning activities and the audio for up to 150 responses.

The Tag Junior comes with one children’s story already downloaded on the device, and additional stories (5 at a time) can be added by using a LeapFrog connect application that is compatible with both PC and Mac computers.

Special features on the Tag Junior include name identification of the child, Learning Path capabilities to see your child’s reading progress, and fun learning activities aside from simply reading the story.

Technical support for non-tech-savvy parents is at hand as well. If users have difficulties downloading new stories or using the Tag Junior, troubleshooting help from customer service individuals is available on the Tag-talk LeapFrog Community forums or by calling 800/701-5327.
