When testing out a sample of the Student Backpack, we found that its padded but thin shoulder straps and padded back were perfect for loads that were not too heavy. The backpack had simply one large inside pocket and one small outside pocket—organization is not its strong suit but the water resistant fabric of the bag seemed durable and strong. We loved the vibrant rainbow checkerboard pattern too!

A test of a YakPak laptop sleeve, which comes in 15.6” and 10.2” inches, revealed a healthy amount of padding on the sides of the sleeve. Though the case is soft, the padding and durable fabric will protect your laptop from the small bumps of travel, though compression damage is always an issue with soft laptop cases. The sleeve has no outside pockets and only one small handle—made for putting in a larger bag rather than being carried on its own.
