Family Slumber Party in San Diego at $499/2N

Whether you're looking for a relaxing family vacation, or an adventure-filled trip, San Diego has just what you're looking for. Grab your PJ's and join in the slumber party fun in 2009!

The 511-room Omni San Diego Hotel (619/231-6664; 675 L Street) is offering a special family slumber party package, inviting families to enjoy their deluxe accommodations for $499/2N from now until December 31, 2009.

The package includes one in-room movie per day, accompanied with popcorn and soda for the whole family to munch on, creating a movie theater feel in the comfort of a luxurious hotel.

Wake up refreshed after a relaxing movie night for breakfast at McCormick & Schmick's, the onsite restaurant where breakfast for two adults and two children will be provided. The hotel also features Morsel's, a gourmet coffee bar, and Terrace Grill, a rooftop dining area, that provides poolside drinks from 11am to 7pm, but make note that it is only open from June through September.

The Omni Hotel offers plenty of amenities, including an outdoor terrace with a stone fireplace, along with a heated pool and spa. There is a complimentary, full-service fitness center, or if you don't want to go to the gym, you can order a Get Fit treadmill to be delivered right to your room.

Upon arrival you will receive a "Scoop City Guide" with information about San Diego attractions, and complimentary valet parking will be provided throughout your trip.

If you want to escape the confines of the hotel head over to Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball team, via the skybridge, which connects the hotel to the park.

Only 2 miles from the hotel is Balboa Park (619/239-0512; 1549 El Prado), comprised of 15 museums, performing arts venues, restaurants, gorgeous botanical gardens, and the San Diego Zoo. After exploring the zoo, if you still haven't satisfied your love for animals, wander over to Sea World and take in a show like Ignight, a nighttime show offered during the summer, where dolphins jump to sky, featuring a mix of water, music, and animal acrobatics.

Finish your trip off with a stroll through the Gaslamp Quarter (619/233-5227; 614 Fifth Ave Suite E), the historic stretch of over 80 restaurants, bars, and boutiques, located just a short distance from the hotel.

This offer only accommodates two adults and two children, but if you need additional space you can book a connecting room for an extra $99.
