Get Back to Nature with Grandchildren: 6D Canoeing Adventure under $100/D

This summer reconnect with your grandchildren with the splendor of nature. At the Aloha Foundation's Hulbert Outdoor Center, you and your grandchildren have the chance to go on the Intergenerational Canoe Trip to Maine.

This six night trip will have you camping, fishing, hiking, and canoeing on the shores of Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont. Participants will be taught the basics of canoeing, and will learn how to prepare for a canoeing trip on their own.

If you want to fish, you can purchase a fishing license in Rangeley, Maine. Tents, stoves, canoes, and cooking gear will be provided, and you can bring your own sleeping bag or rent one.

Grandchildren must be between 11-14, and participants must be in good health to be able to handle 3-5 hours of physical activity a day. Physician approval is needed to register.

This trip will be from August 2, 2009 to August 8, 2009, and cost $568 per adult and $468 per child. To register properly and ensure a space on this trip, call 800/454-5768 or visit www.elderhostel.org.
