Vermont's Top Spa n' Ski Sale - Buy 3 Pay 2 for Room and Massage
For nearly 50 years, the family-owned and operated Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont has welcomed guests under its cozy roof. Initially a modest motel built in the town center back in 1963, the resort has evolved into a world-class ski and summer destination, as well as a noted spa. For December 2009, the long-time owners, the Baraw family, were rewarded for all their devotion to the property when Conde Nast Traveler magazine voted it among the 75 "Best in the World" hotels, as well as "Best Ski Hotel" and among the "Top Resort Spas for Setting."
The resort is located in Vermont's Green Mountains and has received numerous international awards as well, including "Top 3 Best Ski Hotels in America" (2004) by Virgin Holidays. Winter visitors will definitely be pleased with their resort stay if they tackle the slopes at Stowe Mountain Resort, and in other seasons, families come for the hot air balloon festival, hiking, regional music festivals and pond swimming. Year-round, guests have access to the indoor and outdoor pools and Jacuzzi.
This property has enough amenities and Old World service to please the most fussy of grandparents or toddlers, too. All ages will appreciate the fine dining at award-winning restaurants; especially Winfield's Bistro which received the Four-Diamond Award for culinary excellence, outstanding ambiance and exemplary service by AAA. It's not, however, too proper for kids to have fun -- just read Family Travel Forum's article Stoweflake: Stowe, Vermont's Spa Resort and you'll see what we mean.
For winter 2010, the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa is offering some Winter getaway deals the whole family will enjoy. The basic offer is to treat yourself and the kids to two nights at Stoweflake and get the third night free, or a 33% savings. Rates for double rooms with two queen beds begin at only $189 per night. If you have a big brood, or want to luxuriate in a super-size abode, their "townhouses" come in the two-bedroom units or fancier Meadows two-bedroom townhouses, and both include full kitchen, dining room, living room and bath along with patio/deck, fireplace and laundry room.
And—during your stay, if adults book two 50-min spa treatments (and yes, we can handle that), then the family will get a third (25-minutes and maybe teen-oriented?) spa treatment as a holiday gift from the resort to guests. Choose from over 120 treatments and signature massages based on Asian healing techniques or just linger in the fun, kid-friendly grotto pool (pictured above) and absorb the warm, soothing waters.
Another winter savings plan gives a 35% discount to those who plan ahead. If you and the family can book a guestroom or townhouse 60 or more days before your stay, you'll get 25% off. Members of the resort's Frequent Guest Program can take an additional 10% off. These discounts are valid through December 25, 2010, giving you plenty of time to plan.
If you're into traditions and you want to start your own in a very big way, consider renting the Baraw Family's very own ski house. It's a truly special place to stay for up to 10 people, and offers the advantages of a full-size house with a resort staff nearby to help out mom. The four bedrooms consist of 1 room with 1 king, 2 rooms with 1 queen each and 1 room with 2 doubles; four baths; fully equipped kitchen; dining area; large living room upstairs with fireplace and a downstair's sitting room with double size pullout sofa bed and fireplace. Of course it has linens, as well as Spa at Stoweflake amenities, bathrobes and hair dryers in the bathrooms (to get your ski boots dry at night), and iron and ironing board. It's also, like the hotel, non-smoking and rents for $579 - $799 per night depending on season.
To book any of these savings, contact the Stoweflake Mountain Resort and Spa (802/253-7355 or 800/253-2232), located at 1746 Mountain Road, Stowe, VT 05672, or your travel agent.
