Skiing for All Families during Telluride Gay Ski Week from $195/N

Mountain Village, Colorado is once again celebrating its Telluride Gay Ski Week by offering guests exclusive discounts and VIP passes to the week’s festivities. For $195, each guest may attend swank affairs including the Opening Night, Blue Ball Dance, Meet & Heat, and Chemistry.com’s White Night parties. Other events include the Blades of Glory Skating Party and Hump Night, featuring great music and never-ending fun. Celebrities such as LA-Based DJ’s The Perry Twin and "Amazing Race" winner Reichen Lehmkuhl will also make special appearances.

Gay Ski Week lasts from Saturday, February 20 to Saturday, February 27, 2010 and as FTF families know, Telluride has long been one of the top destinations for same sex couples with kids. This is a great chance to mingle with other like-minded families and get in some great skiing.

The area’s two major resorts, The Peaks, A Grand Heritage Resort & Spa and Capella Telluride, will be supporting the event, offering special lodging prices for five-night consecutive Gay Ski Week stays. For rates starting at $239/N, guests can choose to stay at the fabulous mountain resort, The Peaks, and enjoy the resort’s four on-site dining choices, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and convenient location. The hotel is set amid the 14,000-foot Rocky Mountain peaks above the town of Telluride and is only 10 miles from the Telluride Regional Airport.

At the Capella Telluride Resort, guests can enjoy Gay Ski Week by staying in one of the hotel’s 89 luxurious rooms starting from $254/N. Along with five nights accommodations, visitors will receive admission to the Capella pool party, a skin consultation and Osea Home Care Kit and a $100 spa credit per stay.

If you only want to stay and ski in Colorado, be sure to check out Capella Telluride’s Skier Escape Package, which includes four nights accommodations with the fourth night free, as well as a full breakfast for two each day, three days of lift tickets for two and a $100 spa credit per stay. The offer is available through April 4, 2010 and the rates vary depending on selected dates, with rates generally increasing up until the deal deadline. While not included in the package, guests may also choose to attend Gay Ski Week’s The Matthew Shepard Foundation Benefit Dinner to help raise funds and awareness for the organization.
