Zephyr Cove Resort on California's Lake Tahoe has Rooms from $119/N

For some last minute summer or fall fun on southern Lake Tahoe, located on the border between California and Nevada, Zephyr Cove Resort is offering vacation packages for the months of August and September.

If a late summer cruise of the lake sounds inviting, you can book the Summer Stay and Cruise package, which includes a night’s accommodations in a studio or lodge room and two tickets for the Emerald Bay Sightseeing Cruise on the M.S. Dixie II. 

The M.S. Dixie is the largest cruising boat on Lake Tahoe and offers a narrated cruise around Emerald Bay, with stunning views of the Sierra Nevada range.

Nightly rates start at $199, and guests can then stay a second night for $139 and a third for $119.

If you’re feeling more adventurous, the Wet Fun in the Sun package includes two nights’ accommodations at Zephyr Cove, two tickets for the M.S. Dixie II cruise, and a double jet ski rental for an hour as well as a tandem parasailing flight. Rates start at $564 for two people.

With this offer, if you pack all the adventure into day one, additional nights can be added for $159/N.

Lake Tahoe is also host to many activities besides just boating—there are numerous hiking trails, as well as fishing, casinos, horseback riding, and of course swimming.
