Boating in New Zealand in Anchorage Bay
We had a terrific time in New Zealand and this place, Anchorage Bay, was one of our highlights. Whlle we were there, we thought of you.
This is a super family place. Most people stay one night. We stayed two and several others did too.
We heard that some family groups will stay for several days, up to a week.
The only negative thing is dinner is always the same every night: steak and sausage on the grill with vegetarian bean casserole and cole slaw.
It's all delicious but........
If you need more info on NZ, don't hesitate to ask. Just go!

Both boats anchored in Anchorage Bay in Abel Tasman National Park, South Island. Here's one of the two boats going off for fresh water.

Looking up at the deck of the catamaran from the decommissioned Coast Guard patrol boat

breakfast...

Andrea, the woman with the orange shirt, is the Chief Cook and Bottle Washer.

the start of the day of kayaking... the sand is fabulous blond powder.

no comment, except I had a great time.

Chris the Captain (and owner) just remembered having a crayfish in the freezer.

the happy recipients... quite a delicacy with wasabi mayonnaise

Tide's out so we needed a water taxi to bring us back to shore.

need we say more? Check out Abel Tasman Charters for more information about doing this yourself.
