It's a great way to engage foreign language learners in the family vacation.

There's a lot of outdoor and indoor fun near to the ski resort at Mont-Sainte-Anne, including a greatly expanded and improved base village. Within the Mont-Sainte-Anne resort is Canada's largest cross-country ski operation (418/827-4561) located at rang St-Julien, Saint-Ferréol-les-Neiges, Québec, Canada. On the property's 224 kms of trails, there is a L'Auberge du fondeur Inn and seven heated shelters. Day and week passes are available featuring discounted family rates.
Centre de Location Motoneige (418/827-8478) is the place to rent snowmobiles.
Village Vacances Valcartier (418/844-2200) is North America's largest snow park, with slides, rafting rides, ice skating, and ice karting. It's open December through March and could be compared very favorably to an on-the-rocks theme park.
Avid skiers and riders will also enjoy spending a day at the smaller Stoneham ski resort (800/463-6888), known for its nightlife if you stay long enough. The extremely scenic Le Massif (877/LE-MASSIF), towering above the St. Lawrence River in a pristine UNESCO Biosphere region, is another option for a quieter getaway with excellent expert runs. Both mountain resorts are run by Resorts of the Canadian Rockies.
When you need to come in from the snow, the Musee de l'Abeille (418/824-4411) is a small, free museum about bees and honey production, including insect displays and a shop filled with honey products and sweets.
